Why does the system type matter?

Your choice determines the technical limits, rules and comparison options used in your calculation.

  • Technology: Inverters limit usable power. For balcony PV, we also distinguish between AC and DC storage connections.
  • Rules: Plug-in solar devices can qualify for simplified procedures under certain conditions. A small regular PV system is not automatically balcony PV.
  • Economics: The balcony-PV path assumes no feed-in remuneration and a compatible consumption sensor for storage.

Our comparison: The balcony-PV path covers only this device, with no additional regular PV or existing storage. This choice does not replace checks of connection, registration or device compatibility. Federal Network Agency guidance

Beta version: feedback welcome

Voltary is still in beta. Some bugs, unexpected visual issues, or occasional delays may occur. Because our calculations are computationally intensive, things can take a little longer, especially when demand is high. Your feedback helps us keep developing Voltary in a focused way.
